About DevelopmentNow
developmentnow is a Portland-based IT consulting company specializing in web development as well as social networking, content management systems, web site hosting, and capacity planning.

Our goal is to provide clients with rapid, high-quality development expertise, as well as help other software developers do their jobs more quickly and effectively. We prefer to leverage existing solutions when we can, rather than "reinvent the wheel."

developmentnow was started mid 2004 by Ben Strackany, an author, web developer, and speaker with over 12 years in IT and extensive startup experience. Despite its initial roots as a blog, article index, and newsgroup archive targeted at the tech community, developmentnow has built up a list of happy clients over the years by providing effective solutions and minimizing project overhead.

We do most of our development using PHP/MySQL or ASP.NET/SQL Server, but we're also comfortable with other technologies like VB6, ASP, C++, ColdFusion, and others.
