I have recently downloaded sql2kdesksp3.exe and installed
it onto my Windows XP home computer.

I need the utilities, particularly Enterprise Manager, to
see what I have.

How do I get this?

You won't have any Gui Tools for this because it's MSDE. Use OSQL on the
cmd line and issue SELECT @@version

Alan - you need to install the desktop edition first before applying SP3. Do
you a retail CD, MSDN etc.?

As others have said, you've installed MSDE, which does not come with =
Enterprise Manager.

A nice, low cost ($29) alternative is at WWW.MSDE.BIZ. =20
