The following error shows up in the SQL log:

Steve,
At first I thought it was a hardware issue. So I ran checkdisk on the drive
with no errors. So, that is why I think it might be some corruption issue.
I also have six other databases running on the same drive with no problems.
I have it running database maintenance using the wizard on a nightly basis
and when I look at the log I see the error. I have not put it into single
user mode and run DBCC NEWALLOC. I will give it a try tonight and see what
I find. Thanks for giving me something to try. I will let you know what
happens.

Are you sure it's a database issue -- sometimes hardware issues can cause
some strange messages. Have you put the database in single use mode and run
DBCC NEWALLOC?

The output for CheckAlloc was quite long. I searched for errors and it had
nothing. The last few lines are below.

I do not understand the output. I hope someone in the Newsgroup can help or
point me to someone that can help.

Total number of extents = 20817, used pages = 150288, referenced pages =
149591 in this database.

(number of mixed extents = 349, mixed pages = 2579) in this database.

CHECKALLOC found 0 allocation errors and 0 consistency errors in database
'PM_DATA2_Mdsped'.

DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact your
system administrator
