sql server connect:
Hello,

I would like to know if I can remote conect to an sql server using the IP
adress instead of the server name. I want to administrate the database under
internet (the target server has a known ip address).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes you can, you just use the ip address instead of the servername. You
could even create an alias in client network utility.
