sql server connect: Hello:

We are using MS SQL 2000 server on one of our
sites. We are unable to access the databases folder in
the server. After connecting to the server through
Enterprise Manager and clicking on the databases folder,
the server does not responds for long and later hangs. As
mentioned by our server support we have installed the
patches for 'SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a'. But still
the problem is not solved.

Yes we can go further with Query analyzer. The database
is on a virtually hosted server. So there are multiple
databases on the server. In our local server through with
we are connecting, does not have much databases.

Can this happen if the virtual memory is less on
the system??

If there are a large number of databases then the Databases folder can be
slow to open.
