sql server connect: Hi All

I have SQL Server Developer Edition Installed on my server. Can you explain
how I comnnect my workstation to the server to be able to use Access 2000 as
a front end database with the SQL Server as the back-end. What if anything
needs to be set up on the WS to connect to Server. I am connected to the
server and logging on to the network ok. Just don't comprehend how this
Access to SQL thing is supposed to work.

Thanks
Donny

You can either

1. Create an Access .adp
2. Link tables in access to your SQL Server.(Set up a DSN then do File |
Get External Data | Link Tables). In the "Files of Type dropdown choose
"ODBC Databases" then choose the DSN.
3. Use good old ADO.

There may be other ways but I don't often use Access. Mary Chipman might
come in here and offer a hand.
