Hi,

I have SQL Server 2000 default instance and have recently
created a named instance of the developer version.
Afterwards, I could still access the default instance but
now I am having connection problems. Please advise

HI,

Can you please be more specific because you are saying that you can still
access the default instance.

Provide,

1. Error you are getting
2. How you are trying to connect (From the server itself or from client)
3. Type of protocol used
4. Type of Authentication...

I have a similar issue. I have added an instance to my
SQL2K box (on W2K3) and cannot connect to the named
instance via my admin console. On the servers admin
console it connects freely.
