I am connecting to my database using PROVIDER=SQLOLEDB;
I am gettting the error of "Requested Operation Requires
an OLE DB Session Object, which is not supported by the
current provider"
I have MDAC 2.8 and SQL 2000.
Has anyone come across this error?

Hi,
I'm using 'sp_addlinkedsrvlogin' in a stored procedure
that pulls data from Oracle into SQLserver2K.
BOL states that only members of the sysadmin and
securityadmin fixed server roles can execute
sp_addlinkedsrvlogin.

Help,
I can no longer connect Enterprise Manager (register) to a clustered
(un-named instance) of SQL 2000 running on 2kadv from a particular XP pro
machine and another Windows 2000 Server, it lists the above error.

if have a firewall with 3 nic cards
- 1 for incoming
- 1 for intranet
- 1 for web app
so that intranet is isolated from the web server
its still possible "replication"
from the intra-net SQLServer to
web server ?

Strange problem connecting from asp.net

If I run my application, I get a 'database does not exist'. If I then go
onto the machine with the database on (different machine) and log in to
query analyser, I can then go back to the web browser, it connects fine.
