Experiencing 2 different errors before being able to connect to the database.
This happened 2 times, 7 days apart, and the problem was resolved by

With Enterprise manager, I can see a remote sql 2000 sp3 instance. I can also
see that port 1433 is open.
But, when I try to connect to it, I get the connection could not be

first problem: changing the default tcp port from one instance ,also

we had our database frezze up four time this month. The
only pattern seems it happnes one time per week. Other
then taht no time or date pattern.
