sql server connect: Hello,
My project currently is this: Migrating access reports to sharepoint
and sqlserver. I didn't not pick the enviornment, I'm merely attempting
it.

Is there any information about connecting these two? Is there anyway to
retrieve information from sql server? I can write in c# but everytime I
compile my dll I have to email it to the iis admin (because he is in
another city) and have him deploy it. This is horribly slow and out
moded. I'm hoping there is something else I can do. Any help will be
much apprecaited.

Thanks
Arian

It's not real clear what you are looking for - there are a
few different sharepoint products and the functionality,
interop varies with each. And then you can have different
servers, same servers, etc.
You can use Data Access web parts from FP 2003 to display
information from database in WSS web part pages.
You can integrate Reporting Services with the last service
pack pretty easily with WSS.
You can create web parts that call web services.
But if you are writing web parts and need to deploy them to
a remote site you don't have access to, yes you will need to
send the code for the admin to deploy.
