sql server connect:
SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager cannot work with SQL Server 2005. It
doesn't understand SQL Server 2005 features like XML data types, etc. You
can connect to SQL Server 2005 using SQL Server 2000 Query Analyzer, or you
can use Management Studio to connect to both versions.

Cannot see SQL Server 2005 from SQL Server 2k EM Peter Croft

I am running SQL Server 2k version 8.00 on one pc (A) on a lan,
and SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition version 9.0 on another (B).
I can see the 2k server on A from Management Studio on B
but I can't see the 2005 server from Enterprise Manager on A.
Is this a limitation or have I just done something wrong?

(I previously tried using SQL Express on B and got the same result
so I uninstalled that and installed Developer Edition instead).

Thanks in advance.
