I suggest you should read Books On Line (indexed as "Microsoft Clustering
Algorithm"). Also, the research paper mentioned in FAQ
(http://groups.msn.com/AnalysisServicesDataMining/faq.msnw) Item 16, will
give details of the algorithm (i.e., Expectation Maximization method).

Hi !
I just ran the clustering algorithm (from analysis manager) on my data
and got a nice output in the mining model browser! But how did the algo
segment the data into 10 clusters? Whats the meaning of these clusters? How
do I interpret these clusters?
Is there any material/resource that explains in simple terms about how
the clustering algo works?

regards,

Also try downloading the Angoss controls supplied in the DM Resource Kit
(link at http://groups.msn.com/AnalysisServicesDataMining). The resource
kit provides a cluster viewer that gives you a better idea about the data
distributions in the clusters.
