sql server data mining : Accessing Analysis Services from a client.

Hi,
I am using SQL Server2K with Analysis Services. Does the client version
of SQL Server also have an Analysis Manager? Is there some UI in the client
which hooks up with the Analysis Server on the server side? Another doubt I
had was the following:: Say I write an add-in for Analysis Services (it
uses the UI of analysis manager). Now this add-in would sit on the server
side (right?). Will this add-in show up in the client side also? (provided
there is a UI for analysis manager in the client version...).

Analysis Services does not ship with any data mining client. There are some
client tools available at http://groups.msn.com/AnalysisServicesDataMining
(e.g. DMSample), and the Angoss controls in the DM Resource Kit (link at
above site) are redistributable in any client application.

Analysis Manager is a management tool - not really a "client" for Analysis
Services as you have to be a server administrator to use is. Any add-in you
write will have to be present on the machine where Analysis Manager is run -
it does not need to be on the server machine if AM is not used there.
