sql server data mining: I just started using SQL at work. Iwas wondering how to write a query for a reprt that would allow you to pick the date range that you wanted. Any help someone could give me would be appreciated. I would also be interested in some book titles that would help with this.

Although I haven't read it, I've heard great things about _Murach's SQL For
SQL Server_ by Bryan Syverson for a beginning SQL textbook.

After that, if you wish to go further, you can move on to _Inside SQL Server
2000_ by Kalen Delaney, _Advanced Transact-SQL for SQL Server 2000_ by Itzik
Ben-Gan and Tom Moreau, and Ken Henderson's _Guru's Guide_ series, all of
which are excellent resources once you know the basics.
