Hello,
Does anyone know of MS roadmap regarding Yukon's support for real spatial
data types (like Oracle's SDO_Geometry) and
support for spatial functions?
We need a monolithic database for both geospatial and regular,non-geo data.
I'd hate to have to convert from SQL Server to Oracle just for that reason.

Thanks
Ami

This all seems interesting to those of us who mangage spatial data with SQL Server, but are there any standards or white papers that are going to be made availalbe to users for defining UDT's for spatial data? I know how one of the databases was designed that was listed in the article (North Carolina), and I know that they are not taking advantage of even the ESRI Geodatabase design, non the less any Oracle type SDO functionality, since I was one of the original designers of that database
