Hi,
We are populating staging tables using DTS . We are indexing our staging
tables after loading. Our question is whether do we have to index our source
tables before loading ? How it will effect the performance ?

Writeback option missing!

I'm going through the Analysis Services Tutorial. The first section under
Advanced Analysis has you use the Dimension Wizard to create Parent-Child
dimension with writeback capability. When I get to the "Select advanced
options" step in the wizard, there is no writeback option.

Impact of Full Process Cube Related to Dimension Update

Hi:
When a full process of an OLAP cube is perform, does it
also automatically perform a restructure/"full process" of
the related dimensions? Or does the restructure/"full
process" of the related dimensions need to be handled
separately?

Can I have a cube using a fact table and specific dimensions from a
database (data source) and general dimensions which are in another
database ?
i.e. Cube Sales: Fact Table (Sales), Dimension Table (Color) from
