sql server dts: Hi,
I installed a SQL SERVER Evaluation version at home and I have a Comast
Cabel Internet Connection. and for sure, I have a email account in my MS
Outlook.
However, I am not able to use xp_sendmail command?
Am i missing something?

You need to link the SQL Mail option to an email profile on your machine -
but not yours. The SQL server installation asks you for an account to be
supplied in which it will work. You need to ensure this has been done (check
server properties), then create an email profile on the server machine. You
then in Enterprise Manager go to the Support folder and set the profile in
SQL Mail.This is what xp_sendmail needs.

Note that this does not provide email support for jobs and alerts, which
needs the profile to be set in the SQL Agent properties.
