sql server dts:
Hi
I am facing a problem while creating a data source,
I right click on data source select new data source
select "Microsoft ole db provider for sql server"
enter the appropriate server name,userid,pwd and Click
test connection , uptill this part things go on fine
but when I clikc "Ok to create the data source it throws
me the following error
"Unable to edit data source Cannot update.Database or
object is read only"

The obvious anwer woudl that your DB is set to read-only. Using the DTS
desigenr I can not repro this error with a read only DB, unless I try and
create a new table for eaxmple, but the errro does not match.

What are you using to do this? I cannot see an option in DT that is termed
"Data Source". Do you just mean a connection?

What options are set for your DB?
