Sending Email from a job with ActiveX

sql server dts: I am creating a Job using the SQLDMO interface, if the job fails I want it
to email someone with an appropriate error message.

On some servers this works fine and on others it doesn't, it all seems to
depend on the mail profile settings. The wierd thing is that an activeX
script that doesn't work from within a job will work straight from a DTS
package

can anyone tell me if there is any way that I can set up the email to work
everytime or set up the server to use the same email settings for Packages
and Jobs

Probably because the security context of the job is different from the
interactive user.
