I have mainframe programming experience...JCL...COBOL...etc..

I am just starting to get into DTS and VB Script.

I have a similar background! I have a copy of Sam's "Sql Server 2000 DTS" and
and am learning DTS as well. Like many books it is as famous for what it
leaves out as for what it includes, but it is the best book I have found.
There are several VBscript examples to help you get their object model.

sqldts dot com is useful as there are several examples and articles but as
in all things the code there ranges from superb to elusive. Check it out.

The MS "Step by Step" book is useless unless you install their software and
work the book from cover to cover.

Can you give me a little more information on what type of tasks you are
trying to do? What is your programming skill level?
