SSIS Deploy Method file .SSISDeploymentManifest faulty Slice

sql server dts: I used the file system right-click, Deploy menu choice on the file
..\bin\deployment\<prjName>.SSISDeploymentManifest and 4 of the 13 .dtsx
files were not published into the MSDB database although the log file
generated says otherwise.

No configuration files were involved; authored .dtsx in file system and
built from same instance as attempt to deploy; found idential response
on an different instance; all 13 references are found in the Manifest
xml file.

Begs question of whether the MSDB should be used - deploy to "File
System" seemed flawless; anyone suggest "File System" deployement over
"MSDB"?

Also I am curious if MS did away with being able to store multiple
version of a DTS package within a single file or multiple version
within the MSDB which was previously supported in DTS 2000?

Thanks so much,
Richard

Additionally - I did try to manually import one of the missed packages
- import worked fine.
