Hello Marc,

Does the issue occur with a new SSIS project? Did it appear after some
special operations? You may want to resinstall SSIS client tool to see if
it helps.

Dear all

I’m experiencing a display problem in SSIS in design and control flow in the
VS 2005 Designer: When I open a package all icons and arrows of task and
containers are hidden. If I click on the task/container they show up.

Do you have any idea why this happens?

Best regards and thanks for your help,

Marc

Hello Peter

This issue happens with a new package or with a existing one. It happens
every time when I open a package. I reinstalled the client tools and still
experience the same issue. I also have the evaluation edition of VS2005 Team
System installed.

I have two screens on my graphic card. Can that be the problem? I'm using
Windows XP SP2 (German edition) with all updates.

Best regards,

Marc

Interessting is, when I use a remote desktop connection to my server and
execute BI Studio there, I do not have that problem... Marc

Hello Roger,

Based on the symptom, it does seem to related to video driver. You may want
to change the screen resolution to test. Also, you may want to run
MSCONFIG->BOOT.INI tab, put a check in /BASEVIDEO to restart computer to
check if the issue occurs.

Hi Peter

sorry for the late answer but I was out of office. It looks that it is not a
video driver problem - when I check in msconfig /Basevideo and restart the
computer I have the same effect. Any other ideas what could be the root of
that problem?

Best regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

You mentioned that you have 2 screens on the server. You may temporarily
disable one to test. It still seems to be related to video driver/monitor
since it does not occur in RDP session. Also, does the issue occur with a
purely new SSIS project?

Hi Peter,

it was actually a driver graphic card and driver monitor issue. Thank you
for your help!

Best regards,

Marc
