I Happen to migrate pacages from SQL server 2000 to SQL server 2005
using the Migrate Wizrd - right clicked Management | Legacy | Data
Transformation Services and clicked on Migrate wizard and migrated all
my DTS packages to DQL 2005 server1.
I see the packages in sysDTSpackages90 table. I dont see
them under 'Management | Legacy | Data Transformation Services'

What need to be done inorder to see them under 'Management | Legacy |
Data Transformation Services'

Please help

Hello Devi,

That is not where they are put. Once they are migrated they are no longer
legacy right?

SSIS packages stored in MSDB can be viewed through the SSIS Service. In
SS Management Studion Connect to the Integration serverices instance and
view the packages there.

Thanks Allan.

I have a problem still. When I connect to SSIS Service and try to view
the packages there and clicked Stored Packages - MSDB, I get an error
mesage box stating - Failed to retrieve data for this request
(Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoEnum) and under the Additional information -
Login timeout expired.

There is no remote connection as I have connected the SSIS service in
the local serever where my packages are migrated.

How to view the pakages ?

Please help

Thanks for that Allan.

I have a problem still. In SSIS when I clicked - Stored Packages|MSDB I
get an error message box which states
Failed to retrieve data for this request. (Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoEnum)
And under the additional information,
Login timeout expired
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.
When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the
fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote
connections.
SQL Network Interfaces: Error Locating Server/Instance Specified
[xFFFFFFFF]. (Microsoft SQL Native Client)

I am not trying a remote connection. The packages are migrated to the
SQL2005 server and I am connected to the server - SSIS and trying to
view the packages.

Please help to fix this error. Is there any where I have to explicitly
specify the server name ....

Your help is greatly appreciated.
