sql server dts : Problems restoring database daily from another server...

I am working on a development project where we have an office in
Canada and another one in India. The coders all work in India, and
because of the pipe there, their internet access is unbearable, making
a network connection to my master DB here impossible... the manager
here asked for a copy to be sent to them, so they could install it on
their server there, so essentially, we're running two copies of the
same DB (which, for the record, I hate).

My problem is this... I make changes here throughout the day, then
they go to work on their copy during their day (my night) and v.v...
I've tried maintaining the consistency between the two, but when I
have to maintain PK, FK, it is gruelling, with the lack of connection
speed. Moving a restore file to their server over a network isn't an
option. Even though the DB is only 3Gb, it takes upwards ot 7 hours,
which doesn't work for us.

What other way is there to ensure the consistency of these two
databases? I know nothing about log shipping, and aren't even sure if
that would work, since the only changes we do aren't just data, but
structurally, as well.

I'm stuck and need some advice!!

Hello CalgaryDataGrl,

Sounds like you want to look at replication.
