IE 4.01 product alert email that has a virus attachment as a security patch. They are not moderated, but they are monitored, so spam gets removed from
the MS server. Unfortunately many peers do not processes the removal request properly, but the removal still takes some time even for MS. These groups are not moderated as they are very much in the public
domain and I believe MS do the best they can to avoid pitfalls like this. If you look at a lot of people's mail addresses in the NGs you will see they are a variation on their real address or a completely bogus one. MS would not go out an actively post to a NG or by email a security patch. They would send out a Security/Hotfix warning (KB) and then let you go to them to retrieve it. Pretty much going to have to either change your email address, or get a spam
blocker such as www.spamarrest.com Also, you are still posting using your real email address, so you are not helping yourself. Not that I am aware of...if you find one let me know....I was getting 200+
spams per day.
