As to error 800700e9, this error is generic and can be raised by multiple
issues, and below is a past posting I made to this newsgroup: There is a
pipe between the mssearch process and the filtering process (mssdmn), when
mssdmn crashes, or is terminated, you can get the 800700e9 and this is
normal and expected.
Are you having specific problems with this error? If so, what is the exact
version of the SQL Server you have installed?
Please, post the full output of: SELECT @@version
