sql server full text search: Hello

I've searched high and low - looked at John Kane's prior responses and this is incredible. We did a SPS install and upon testing the WSS site search capabilities realized the search wasn't working. Upon further research we found that the catalogs weren't being populated

Based on the original errors we were getting, we reinstalled the search service and reapplied SP3 to that service - per FIX documentation. Now, I can create catalogs etc.. The problem now is that I cannot populate the catalogs. Instead, I get the following series of codes in the event log... 3019,3035,3036,3023,3018

The MSSearch is running under local system, the SQL Service is running under a user who is a member of administrators, and finally, the BUILTIN\Administrators is a SQL Login with sysadmin rights

In my testing, I've moved away from the SPS generated databases and have focused on setting up a basic database with a single column primary key and one other column that is of type varchar

When I create the catalog for this table, once again all goes well until the population where I once again get the errors

I'm totally at a lose at this point. Can anyone think of something that I have not thought of..

The server is not on a cluster...

Hi Nick,
Could you post the text from your Application event log...
3019,3035,3036,3023,3018. ?
The text is more important than the actual event numbers for
troubleshooting...
