Full-text searching component Ganyovics

Hi all,

we have Windows 2003 SBS with SP1 and MS SQL 2000 with SP3.
What is the recommended process to install full-text searching component to
sharepoint intances of SQL 2000? First install this component from CD then
reinstall service pack 3? Is mssqlserver service stopped during this
installation?

Thanks for advice, but after this install the full-text indexing menu in
Enterprise Manager for sharepoint instances is still grayed out.

Have you any ideas?
Thanks.

Sharepoint database is successfully indexed with sqlftwiz.exe whitout using
full-text indexing menu. We are using "companyweb" webpage and we want to
search contents of doc, xls, pdf files. But in "companyweb" database only 7
tables have unique indexes. Is it sufficient to full-text searching? How can
I view, what was indexed in catalog?

Thanks.

You can't view what was indexed other than by hit and miss. You could enable
logging to see each row being indexed, but this causes performance
degradation. The 7 unique indexes are sufficient.
