sql server misc:
Hi!

I've recently installed SQL Server Workgroup Edition. When I add in the
SQL performance counters in Performance Monitor, they all give me a
reading of 0!

I've got another server running SQL Standard Edition and it shows up
fine... also, I've read and done the steps described in this article
(http://www.extremeexperts.com/SQL/FAQ/EnablingPerCounters.aspx) but it
still reads zero!

Can anyone help on this?

Thanks!

Do you have any other programs that read the perfmon counters like
monitoring software? Sometimes they interfer.

Are the SQL counters there but all zero? Stop and restart SQL Server.

If the counters are not there, I believe a remember there's a script to
reinstall them on the CD.

It's just Windows 2003 SP1 an SQL Server SP4. There are no other
monitoring software installed. The counters are all there but there's
no reading from them. All show 0. The only thing that's moving is the
Processor %.

I've tried rebooting but to no avail.

Thanks!
