I do not probably understand you question, but SQL Server allows for sure
multiple logins, both Windows and SQL logins... please start reading at

Yes I know MSDE is a stripped-down SQL Server.
My question was about the security (logins).

Of course, there are differences between MSDE and SQL Server.
I wondered if logins was one of them.

Thank you for answering my question when you told me logins is the same in
MSDE and SQL Server.

permission and security...

exactely the same... the differences between full blown SQL Server and MSDE
are not in this area...
you can find some of them at

Well, I was hoping i could help him be more concise and accurate without
interference.
I think he does a great job. Yes is the right answer. IMHO.

Hi Carol,

Please avoid trying to be smart about this. It isn't helpful. I'd ask you to
consider two basic things: Andrea contributes non-stop to this group, day
after day and English isn't his first language. Personally, I think a reply
that points out where to find a list of the actual differences is more
useful than just a "yes".
