Sorry to take so long. Its been a busy weeked.

I get the message after setup inspects/evaluates my pc determine if it can
install. The install aborts at this point. When I tried to install on a dif
pc in my office it says File and Printer sharing "pass".

There must be some kind of confict with some other program??

entries... about 10/20 lines befor or after each entry some (sometimes
cryptic) description of the problem will be provided....

Yes, this is MSDE setup. SQL Server installed fine on my laptop. But locks
up when I try to install it on my Desktop. The last time I tried to install -
it locked up completely with no error message.

Setup doesn't recongize I have File and Printer Sharing checked on.
