My administrator doesn't like seeing the list of instances of MSDE when he
opens his Enterprise Manager. Since the instances I install all have network
protocols disabled, there is really no need to see them there. Does anyone
know if there is a method available to hide the instance from the list of
servers on the network (assuming the network protocols are disabled)?

That's right. I didn't think of that answer because it is one he won't
like. I think I'll just keep playing dumb.
