Checked Event logs first thing - nothing, not even a warning in either
system or application. Didn't know that msde had a sql agent log.
Unfortunately, I have flushed everything and am attempting to reinstall the
package again - but that has it's own obstacles; install failure at 98% and
nothing installed. Checking the log is not helpful, only indicates the
install stopped then the clean routine kicked in. No error message at all.
Installing configuring MS SQL 2000 on a quad processor, 8 gb data server,
was Infinitely easier than trying to install msde on a home computer. :(
gracia.
