I'm running Vista Business edition on 2005 Virtual PC.
Installed SQL Server 2005 Express latest download, with instance of
MSSQLSERVER and service accounts running under "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM".
Mixed mode authentication specified and sa password specified.

Attach database problem

Hi Folks
I am a newbie trying to attach an MSDE dbf from a whatever.mdf and
whatever.ldf files. I keep getting an error that I can't attach the database
to the same name as an existing database.
Any help would be appreciated?

may i know is there anyway for me to find out from any system table in
MSDE what are the triggers that have been created ?
I wish to delete all and log in a new set of triggers, just in case
some old triggers cause some problems to the new ones.

OK so I've downloaded and installed this 1.7MB wonder, but now what?
I just wanted a nice easy to deploy db to use with my VB 6 app and although

Does the Personal Edition of SQL Server 2000 (bundled with Enterprise
Edition) have a limit on the database size? I know the Desktop Edition has
the 2 gig limit, I wonder if the Personal Edition is also limited at the same
size...

I am aware that there is a 2G limit in MSDE. However in some of our
production databases we are running out of space. There is a long term plan
to upgrade to SQL2005 to double the space available to us. However in the
short term is there a quick way to have more space available ?

Is it the size of the datafile only, or does the size also inlcude the
