sql server msde: When I switch from office network to home wireless, my app using a MSDE
instance has got problem in finding the database. Obviously, the change in IP
Address is not liked by the MSDE server. I believed the XP Pro is more
friendlier in switching between adapters, or am I wrong?

Is there any way to circumvent this problem without exiting my app and
restarting the server?

Hi,

If your wireless adapter does not have a valid IP config when you start
up SQL Server then you will not be able to use the NIC, once it does get
an IP configuration, to connect to SQL Server unless you restart the SQL
Server service.
