sql server new users: If I am running SQL Server 6.5 and own 25 licenses and I wish to upgrade =
to 2000 or 2003, are my licenses any good on the newer version?

Thank you; are the licenses any cheaper for 2000 if you already have an
older version?

Hi

SQL Server 2000 is available. SQL Server 2003 does not exist.

Yes, the client access licenses are based on the version of the install. You
can not use SQL Server 6.5 client access licenses to access SQL Server 7.0
or 2000.

You can use SQL Server 2000 licenses to access SQL Server 7.0 servers (and
SQL Server 6.5). This backward licensing is allowed for a "reasonable" time
period. Still got to see what Reasonable means.
