sql server new users : Setting up SQL Mail

Hi,
How can I get a profile to show up in the drop-down on SQL Server Agent
properties? Is there a way to do this without installing Outlook on the
machine?

You'll need to install Outlook to get a profile... there are several other
options available, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/263556/EN-US/ for
more details.
