sql server new users:
Purchased Sudio MediaSuite software and that software installed SQL Server
Service Manager by Microsoft ver 8.x. I have no idea what this software is,
there was no choice when installing MediaSuite asking if I wanted SQL Server
installed, it running on my PC, I see it in the Startup menu and in the
Msconfig ini.Start-up items. What is the purpose of SQL Server? Can I
remove it from my PC? Since I have no idea what SQL Server is, what it does
(and the user manual for Studio9 MediaSuite contains NO information about
this software), I have no idea if I need it or will use. Rigth now it is
loading when my PC starts up so it is using Resources...and if it it is of no
value to me I would like to properly remove it (don't see SQL Server in the

SQL Server is a database. This is something you need if you for instance
have a magazine and want to keep track of all your subscribers. I think you
should ask a multimedia software newsgroup why SQL Server is installed. It
wouöd be a bad idea to deinstalll it before you know what purpose it serves.
