sql server new users:
I have a SQL Server 2000 server running on a leased server. As they
installed the server, I don't have access to the installation CD. Is
there a way to download the utilities, such as Query Analyzer and
Enterprise Manager so I can run these from other servers not running
SQL Server?

Thank You,
Jason Williard

There are licensing issues involved with that and basically
the tools aren't available as a free download to manage
production servers. Some of the options and other utilities
are listed in the following article:

You'll probably have to talk to the people who installed it. First question
I have is: who is responsible to manage the server? Are you allowed to
manage it? Just having Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer isn't going to
help unless you have a userid defined on the server to permit you access to
the database and tables.....
