Hi,

I'm trying to build a contact management system from scratch and for free.
I started using MS Access 2002 but heard I could use MSDE 2000 (free desktop
version of SQL Server). The only problem is my PC is Windows XP home
edition. And I don't think MSDE 2000 runs on it. Why hasn't MS come out
with a newer version of this free software? Is there anything else from MS
that's equivalent?

- SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition
- SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE)
