Daniel, When you use that functionality from Enterprise Manager, it creates a backup job for you named something like YourDatabase backup. If you need to modify the schedule, go into the job itself and modify the schedule from there. -Sue On Wed, 2 Feb 2005 11:48:37 -0500, "Daniel Rimmelzwaan" [quoted text, click to view] <daniel.rimmelzwaan@nospam.tectura.com> wrote: >Hello all, > >I want to know where I can retrieve my backup schedule so I can chenge the >schedule. > >Here's what I did: >- in Enterprise Mgr, rightclick the database, select backup database from >the all tasks list >- click the add button, enter file path >- check the schedule box, click the ellipse, modify the schedule as desired, >and accept >- click OK > >After I do this, I can see the schedule checkbox checked, so I click OK and >think this is OK. Hello all, I want to know where I can retrieve my backup schedule so I can chenge the schedule. Here's what I did: - in Enterprise Mgr, rightclick the database, select backup database from the all tasks list - click the add button, enter file path - check the schedule box, click the ellipse, modify the schedule as desired, and accept - click OK After I do this, I can see the schedule checkbox checked, so I click OK and think this is OK. Now I want to modify the schedule, but when I go into the database backup screen, the schedule checkbox is not checked anymore. I could enter a new schedule, but I don't know if that creates a new one or if it replaces the othed one. Your help is much appreciated. Daniel.

Thank you Sue for your reply. Could you explain exactly how I can go into the job? Is that in Enterprise manager or in Windows? When I click Job Scheduling on the Tools menu, it opens a wizard that only allows me to create new ones. The same thing happens when I click the Database Maintenance Planner. Surely there is a place that I can review existing jobs/backup schedules, and I'd like to know exactly what to click to get there. Never mind, I found it under the server's management node. Thanks for your help though :).
