sql server new users:
does anyone know how to get SQL Enterprise manager to display a field that
currenly shows <Long Text>. Is there a Cache setting some where ... or
another way to get it to display those fields with TONS of data?

i want to edit the data through Enterprise manager but cant when it shows

You can't; it's a limitation of the tool.

EM is not a good editor anyway -- you should get out of the habit of using
SQL Server like Excel. Start using Query Analyzer and get comfortable with
the INSERT and UPDATE statements.

The thing i like about EM is that i can edit data INSIDE the field without
haveing to update the whole field. This helps because i have so much in those
fields that i dont know whats whats in it to use an UPDATE command

Then write a proper user interface. EM is not a good text editor.

Yes, I know it's more painful, but it will save you in the long run.
Trust me on this. I've seen misuse of EM's editing do way too much
irreparable damage.
