sql server new users : Question on new purchase of Standard Edition 2005

I recently bought SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition, 1 server and 5 CALs, from
an online store (techusastore.com), but did not received any information such
as product key or licensed key or authorization number, or anything like
that. No documents. Just the 2 cds in the cd sleves. Not even a box.

This is my first time buying this product, so I am not sure what SHOULD come
with this. A Microsoft rep told me that if I ordered form one of their
approved reseller, I would get those information by e-mail. But since this
company (techusastore.com) is not one of them, do I need those keys/numbers?

I contacted the online store and they said that I don't need any
number/keys. It is hard coded in the media (CDs). All I need to do is to
install it. Is this true? I have not install the software. I want to make
sure that everything is legal before I install it.

If you bought this software from other un-approved reseller, what did you
get with the CDs?

On the CDs, it said
"All use subject to volume license agreement. Do not make illegal copies of
this disc. Not for retail or OEM distribution. Not for resale"
Item # 228-05236 (on both disc).

I didn't received any volume license agreement number from them or from
Microsoft. I am trying to return this product, but so far no response. I
reported the company to Microsoft Piracy.

Thank you, Arnie and Hillary for your help.
I hope Im getting my money back.

Some vendors will ship oem versions of Microsoft products and IIRC the
product key will be embedded in the installation media. For example Dell
will provide installation media with OEM versions of Windown 200x Server and
SQL on the installation media. This does not sound like the case here, so as
Hugo suggests you should contact MS Licensing.
