I need to move some databases to a new drive but there is no management
studio on the server.

It is SBS R2 with SQL 2005 workgroup edition

What to do ?

SSMS (and other 'client tools') may not have been installed on the server.

Use the SQL Server installation disk, and select 'Install Client Tools'.
