Installing SQL on XP -- sql server new users

Yup...you'll need the .Net Framework 2.0 installed. The
installation will check for all the requirements. You can
find links for the requirements listed here:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143441.aspx
Check the Before You Install and the Hardware/Software
requirements links.
