Where is the event log and how can I view it. -- sql server new users

I received an error message in SQL Service Management Studio that said:

TITLE: Copy Database Wizard

The job failed. Check the event log on the destination server for details.

------------------------------
BUTTONS:

OK
------------------------------

Where is the event log and how can I view it?

I couldn't find a KB article for Windows Server 2003, but it'll probably
be similar to either one of the above.
