I don't know about the Business Intel. Studio. I have the tools
installed on a few clients for management purposes. The licensing I paid
for was per proc so I haven't been concerned about CALs, except for
windows server itself.
I don't think I've seen any actual licensing devoted to just the tools.
I would think that, if you're just using them for remote management
purposes, then you can install on as many clients as you need. This is
kind of like the terminal services administration role, where you can
remote desktop over to your servers from any clients you wish for
administrative purposes without buying licenses to do so.
If you have any questions, perhaps you can contact your 3rd party
reseller and have them ask their local MS licensing guru for the answer,
