We typically remove this since on a Server there is little need to be
running client tools. Moreover, it will only get in the way of any service
pack and hotfix installations.
Right-click on it and choose exit.
Then, in the Start\Program Files\Startup delete the SQL Server Service
Manager link.
If you are running on stand-alone installation, use the Service Control
Panel applet. If on a clustered installation, use Cluster Administrator to
stop and start services, remotely, from an administrative workstation.
