sql server new users:
I am trying to install developer edition on Vista.
I went to programs/features and turned on IIS (all features).
When I run the setup for SS 2005 I get a message that IIS is not installed.

Vista doesn't support _ANY_ software

I'd reccomend LAMP and phpMyAdmin
