SQLNS v2.0 SP1 supports framework 1.1 and 1.0.

What version of SQLNS are you trying to install?

What version of the .net framework do you have installed?

Also make sure you have satisfied the other prerequisites:
MDAC version 2.6 or higher
SQLXML version 3.0 or higher
SQL Server 2000 client tools

Good morning,

I am having the same problem installing SQL Server NS.
To answer your questions with regards to prerequisites:
NS Enterprise Edition 2.0
SQLXML 3.0 SP3
SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
SQL SP3a
..Net Framework 1.1
..Net Framework Hotfix
..Net Framework 1.1 SDK
VS .Net 2003

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

Hi Robert -

Are you attempting to install NS2.0 or NS2.0 SP1? Make sure it's SP1;
it's a full release that supports the .net framework 1.0 and 1.1.

Here's an article the discusses it more. It specifically mentions
Windows Server 2003, but the heart of the matter is really the framework.

Hi Joe,

That worked. I was using the NS2.0 as provided on my MSDN set of discs and
I unfortunately never went to see if there was a SP for it.

Thanks for the help,

Robert
